A painting created over a six week period. Lauren modeled for this one in an exquisite white wing backed chair. The studio was set up in a half moon with the model seated against the wall. There were eight stations to pick from, I chose the six o’clock position (six weeks, six o’clock, six layers, mark of the beast, who can say).
I’ve included all the taping and layer work in the images below. The process is such a random thing, it works or it doesn’t most of the time, but this one has a middle ground. The play of the warm and cool, the finished and unfinished? I can’t say what it is.[nggallery id=22]
