Monotype and Oil on Hardboard 24″ x 48″

I’ve been listening to “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle while I paint. In one passage, he uses the term Satori, a Japanese Buddhist term for enlightenment, meaning “understanding”.
In my research, I came across the word, Kensho. In the Zen Buddhist tradition, satori refers to the experience of kensho; a term used in Zen traditions meaning “seeing into one’s true nature.” It’s a perfect title, and more specific.

I’ve found out much about myself from this experience. This is my final work with Sister Thyme.
