Monotype and Oil on Hardboard 24″x 48″

The second finished painting in collaboration with Floofie. Staring at clouds and finding faces is something that takes me back to reading Peanuts as a kids. They had the books in my school library, the doubles that are two books in one and flip upside down when you get to the center. Charlie Brown was always lying on a grassy knoll looking up at the sky and picking out faces in the clouds. There are so many of those elements in this piece.
Working with Floofie is like being a kid again. Her energy is so pure and her colors so primary, she’s like your first box of 64 Crayolas; that new crayon feeling. You can’t wait to see what you can make. Here’s the original print before oil embellishment.
